Scion TC

In New York City Auto April of 2010 and has been exhibited, so that in the year 2011 Scion TC was not a surprise anymore. From sedan, rear, seems to be more aggressive than the outgoing model, with thick C-pillar, more muscular fenders and rear bumper cover that is more chiseled. Confronted, however, this car feels more generic than in the past, companies with a sloping front fascia where near as varied as the noses of the original Bulldog. TC may get a little aerodynamic advantage with a slope, but with the price of specificity.

New attractions on the same 106.3-inch step tC, extends the same overall length of 174.0 cm and 55.7 cm is the same height. The only dimension that grows is the width, 69.1 to 70.7 inches. The width of the front track increased from 59.3 to 60.6 inches and the rear goes from 59.3 to 61.4 inches.

This is not only because of larger side mirrors. Some of the extra width can be attributed to the adoption of new standard 18-inch wheels, offset slightly modified over the past 17 years, and the increase in tire size 215/45R17 to 225/45R18 standard. The larger diameter tires and wider make the new tC seem somehow more voluptuous.

With its body size largely intact, it's no surprise that the unibody chassis is also virtually unchanged. The front is still held up by a pair of MacPherson struts, while the tail floats above an independent double wishbone system. The steering is rack and pinion yet, but the assist power increased from electric hydraulic, and the steering ratio was 17.7:1 to 14.8:1 accelerated, with a commensurate tightening of the turning radius by a large 36 , 1 m to just 18.7 meters. From a practical point of view, which can be the difference between walking around in a parking lot between the truck and being stuck back down with little visibility to the rear of the TC.

The tC 2.5 liter engine is virtually identical to the four-cylinder engine offered in the 2010 Toyota Camry SE. And 'all-aluminum dual overhead cams, four valves per cylinder, sequential fuel injection, dual variable valve timing and a compression ratio of 10.4:1. The engine of the Camry SE is the power of 179 hp at 6000 rpm with 171 Nm of torque at 4100 rpm. Powered by the slightly different control program of the computer and the assumption of different exhaust systems, the tC with a power output at 6000 rpm and two additional Nm of torque at 4100 rpm.

This may be a negligible advantage over the Camry SE, but it is a huge improvement of 19 horsepower and 11 Nm of torque 2.4-liter four in the last year tC. In addition, a new six-speed manual and automatic transmission advantage of the muscle of the new engine. The automatic door the same gear ratios and final drive, as the four-cylinder Camry transaxle while the manual transmission has ratios slightly narrower than the Camry, both with overdrive fifth and sixth.
